CUTE NOTEPAD

Isn't this the cutest gift?

My youngest received this cute, cute notepad from her friend as an end of the year gift. Each child drew their own picture & wrote their own name. Some of the drawings are so cute. Wonder how they learned to make eyelashes?!

DD#2 loves to draw & write and was using up the paper like crazy. I had to take the notepad away from her & ration her supply!!

Hope you're having a great week! This notepad sure did make mine a whole lot brighter!

May Aloha RAK

I got this wonderful card from De for Jen's Aloha RAK. For May, Jen's challenge was a color challenge, see here. I think that De hit the colors right on the mark. Great card, De! De also included some images that I haven't seen before. Can't wait to use them!
Sign up for Jen's June Aloha RAK are now. Also Teri's OCS sign up is now too!
Come join the fun, I'm glad that I did!

Happy Memorial Day!

An Awesome OCS

My jaw hit the ground when I opened my OCS from Eunice. It is an awesome card! I love the colors of the flowers, the sparkle in the angel's wings and the cool embossing on the "pot." I took a close up cause I thought it was soooo great what Eunice did.

I always say that blue is my favorite color, with pink a close second (tied with green). But, when any of those colors are combined with brown....well, then I just can't decide which is my favorite....sheesh, can I make up my mind??!!

Thank you so much, Eunice (and Teri for hosting OCS). It's so much fun!

Have a great Memorial Day weekend!

May OCS

Teri's OCS is so much fun! I CASED the double slider card that she had on her blog recently. It wasn't that hard to make. The only thing that I had a hard time with was where to write!
My partner is Eunice. I chose pink based on her blog - it looks so sweet, especially her little doggie. I used SU! Sweet Always DSP. The cute stamp image was from Enjoli, my April Aloha RAK partner.
Boy, I don't know about you, but, the month of May is sure flying by. That means that summer vacation is around the corner. Beach every day! Yippee!

Happy Wednesday!

Teacher's Gifts

It's that time to work on teachers' gifts. I've heard that we aren't supposed to give the teacher's monetary gifts, but, hey, they work so hard all year that they deserve a little something. Don't you think? Anyway, Enjoli was my partner for April's Aloha RAK and she gave me the most awesome stuff. One of them being a post it note holder which I CASED!

Thanks, Enjoli for the great idea! I had to make 10 for DD2 preschool and a couple for DD1. Maybe I'll make a couple more just in case I forgot someone.
I still, however, need to come up with something for the men teachers at DD1's school. Any ideas anyone?
Have a great week!

Preschool Graduation

My youngest one graduated today from preschool. She was so proud and was so happy to have her family there with her. Here's here drawing of her as a preschool graduate.
We put together a small goody bag for her classmates with stuff that they could use as kindergarteners next school year. *sigh*...they grow up so quickly.

Happy Friday, again!

Joy at A Place to Be Me is having a huge blog candy blowout! It's a double celebration for Joy and her daughter. Check out her blog to see all her wonderful creations!

No creations for me this week. Well, I did make and send out my Aloha RAK, but, I forgot to take pictures of it.

Have a great day!

Thanks, Joy and Kyoko for this great award! I'm tickled pink! It's you and all the other ladies you listed who inspire me. I love checking out everyone's blog and CASEing their ideas. I send this award back out to everyone on Joy's list!
I lived in Japan for 2 years teaching English. It was awesome! I got to ride the trains, buses, ferries, bicycles and even drove! Nope, can't speak Japanese. Only the important things like "where's the bathroom?" "what's that we're eating?"

Happy Mother's Day to all the moms out there!

Teacher's Appreciation

My daughter's school hosted a teacher appreciation lunch last Friday - May Day. Hence, no school & no program. But, all was not lost as the day before there was a Makahiki (celebration) & the kids all got to participate in various field games. Running, screaming & sweating like crazy. They loved it!

Back to the origins of this posting, the luncheon. These were the favors. I thought that they were so cute - I really like the DSP Good Morning Sunshine and SU! matchbox die. But, I liked the Hershey nuggets even more! No, I'm not a teacher, but, I did help set up, so I was rewarded with a favor! YUM!

Happy May!

Sympathy Cards

It's never fun having to do sympathy cards. My husband's aunty lost her father and a friend lost his grandfather. It always makes me stop and reflect on what I have and those around me. But, the moment is lost as soon as one of the keiki writes on the wall with permanent marker. Then, you realize that life goes on. But, at the end of the day when all is said and done, everything is all good and hugs & love goes out to everyone.

Have a super weekend!
