Recipe Swap

I participated in a recipe swap and these are the 2 pages that I made. I had to make each one 24 times - what was I thinking?! Like the card swaps, it's fun to see what the other ladies create.
As usual, I used majority SU! stuff as I've got lots of it and it feels good to use them.

Sorry for the blurry picture - gotta go get my eyes checked! Have a great day!

Another Swap Card

I made this card for a swap with the Pacific Stampers group. We had to use texture in the design.
I opted for the small dots.
Since I wasn't sure how to use the texture, the card is really simple.

The colors are a bit more muted than I normally like, but, being the "Chinese" person that I am, I had to use up the rest of the Sale-a-bration paper that was lying around.
The flowers are the die cut medium and small sizes. The large one was a little too big. Now to find a use for the big flowers.

Have a sunny week!

There is this fantastic blog candy being offered by Debbie at Passion For Crafts. She's celebrating her one year blogaversary! Hop on over and post a comment for a chance to win.

April Aloha RAK

I was partnered up with Enjoli for April's Aloha RAK and all I can say is "WOW!" She sure did put lots of aloha into her RAK! The box was stuffed with so many wonderful goodies. It felt like Christmas!
Enjoli had asked me what my favorite color is (blue) and she made everything match that color. There's a bunch of paper flowers & ribbon that I'm dying to use for a scrapbook page. It will match perfectly!

Her HK post it holder & pail are top notch!
The cards that she made in the mini-magazine holder are so cute! I thought it was cool too that she included stamped images and even told me that she'd send me more if I wanted. Now that is really generous!

She used one of my favorite sets, SU! 5th Avenue Floral. I love how she colored the flowers.
We're in the same Pacific Stampers group so hopefully we'll meet up one day at one of the meetings or Stamp Camps. Thanks so much, Enjoli!

Happy Weekend everyone!

Hello Kitty RAK

I was lucky to receive these great Hello Kitty RAKs from Michelle. She & I are in the same SU! Pacific Stampers group. I rarely make these meetings, but, when I get the chance, I like to go. We do projects, swaps, talk and my favorite: eat.
Aren't these great? It's so nice meeting all these talented girls!

Just Another Card

This blogging stuff is really fun. Not only do I get to see and learn from all the great creations that everyone makes, I also get to make new friends
Here's another card that I made for a swap back in March. SU! Good Friend set and Cheep Talk sets are some of my favorites.
Thanks for stopping by & sending your aloha! Thanks to Teri for announcing my blog on her blog. I get tons of inspiration from her projects & cards!

THANK YOU CARD

Here's a thank you card which my friend sent me thanking me for her birthday gift. She had gone to a make and take and this was one of the cards. I give her credit for sending it out. If it were me, I'd be keeping it in a binder. I have a hard time giving out cards that I make in a class, especially if there is only one. I definitely will cherish this card.
She used SU! Fifth Avenue Floral, one of my favorite sets. Here's a close up of middle of the flower. They used beads. It adds a nice touch.

Great job, Jan!

Team Parent Gift

As a youth basketball coach, team parents are an important part of a successful team. This past season, I was fortunate to have a great mom and dad team parent team (that's a lot of "team"). They were super organized and very supportive and made sure their son came to every practice (even though it conflicted with another activity). I made them the super easy card holder with note cards that I learned in a class and post it note holder with pen. This time using SU! Good Morning Sunshine DSP and Cheep Talk set-another great set from the Spring catalog. Love it!

Thank you, team parents (you know who you are!!)! Couldn't have done it without you!

Easter Cards For Moms

Made these cards (last minute) for my mom and MIL for Easter. It was supposed to be a project for the kids to work on, but, they bailed on me to play "camp" (they set up a camp with the blankets & pillows, then go in and play their NintendoDS). DD#2 did help stamp the background for the butterfly cards. But, she was driving me crazy when she would smash the stamp onto the stamp pad. No wonder DD#1 laughed and went to set up "camp."

Happy Easter

On Friday, my keiki and I went to a friend's house to dye eggs. There were 5 kids altogether and they dyed 48 eggs (well, I dyed a couple, see the ones with the rubber bands?). The really creative eggs were done by the two older girls (10y & 6y).
It was a rainy and pretty dreary day, but, it was brightened with the colorful eggs. They even made their own vanilla ice cream with crushed Oreo cookies. Yum! It was a really fun day. What's Easter without the dyed eggs (and fingers)? Wanna know a great way to eat those egg salad sandwiches? Mix in chopped Char Siu. It adds a whole lof of flavor.
Happy Easter!

Easter Art Project

These are some cute projects that DD#2 made for Easter at preschool. Thought they were pretty cute. They cut out the circles & ovals by hand, incredible that some still do it that way. Not me! Thank goodness for the creation of "punches!"
This one was a little box that held pieces of candy.

This was a weaving project. They put their eggs that they dyed at school. I like the shredded paper stuffing and how they used hearts for the body and ears.

More Easter Goodies

These were the goody bags that DD#2 & I made for her preschool friends. The bag was a c.a.s.e. from Michelle's mini version of the designer box/bag. I adjusted ours to be 4 1/2" tall to fit the bubble container and I used ribbon handles. The image is from Mindy Terasawa's Hippity Hop Digital Sticker. I forget which site it's from. DSP is SU! Sale-a-bration.

We also added a little bouncing ball and made a little tag. We were going to put candy in it, but, DD#2 and I ate most of it so we didn't have enough. oops!

Easter Goodies

Put together these quick and easy goody bag for a class of 22 students. I used SU! Top Note die cut using scrap papers- love that die! Got the images off the internet, cut them out with SU! 1 3/4 circle punch & glued them to the top note. Popped some candies into them and voila! Easy peasy. I just wrote "happy easter" and my name on the back.

Thanks for stopping by!

First Aloha RAK

This is what I sent to my Aloha RAK partner, Wendy. I used the retired SU! Summer Picnic DSP (I just love the colors). Made postcard notes and box (cased from Teri - I forgot to punch the handle out before I assembled it, so it came out crooked. oh, well, nothing a little ribbon can't fix).

I tossed in some Dandelion Design Easter stamps and also included a hawaiian print notepad, post it note holder (cased from Dawn) and pen.
I'm still getting the hang of this blogging stuff.
There's so much to learn. So, I'm like the turtle in the race. I'll catch up soon! I received a couple of comments-wow! I wanted to email a note but don't know how. So, thank you for your comment!

Have a great day!

One Card Swap

Forgot to post the cards which I made for Teri's OCS for February and March. For February's card, I used the joy-fold card - really fun to make.

February OCS

March OCS

For both cards, I used SU! Good Friends set. Just love this set!
#2 DD helped stamp the bird and add in the grass.

Cards for a New Baby

A friend is expecting her 3rd baby this April and I whipped up these cards since I knew that she was a Hello Kitty fan. And I was at a loss as to what to get, other than diapers.

Here's close up of one of the cards. I used the textured plate to add a little pizazz to the background. Fun! Bundled them together, tied with a ribbon and added a simple tag. An easy gift to make and very quick to put together.
