So Happy

 

They say that plants make people happy.  DD2 had gotten this little red bucket with dirt & seeds to plant from her friend at the end of school last year.  She was SO excited.  Me, not so much as I am so NOT a plant person.  Anyway, she watered and watched it all summer and she finally got her reward!  The darn thing actually bloomed! SO HAPPY!

Here's another thing that makes her happy - coloring.  Thank you, Aunty Kyoko for the images!  

I've got so many colored images that I was going to toss them, but, the light bulb went on and I'm going to use them to make cards for her friends' birthdays. Now, I'm SO HAPPY!

Like her bangs?   "Fountain" as she calls it.  Trying to grow out bangs are a pain, but, DD2 loves wearing her hair like that.  SO HAPPY! She wants to take her school picture like that...me not so happy!

Some Easter Cards

 

 A couple of cards created by the DD team.  DD1 created her own grass and tiny eggs.  Here's a close up:

DD2 did the same for her card (grass & eggs), but, she had written all over it so it looks like a war zone instead of a Easter Egg hunt.  Trying to keep you safe by not showing it to you!  But, her coloring is very creative!

Love these long weekends.  The air is cool and crisp, it's refreshing.

DD2 GETS A CHANCE

DD2 wanted to copy her sister and make cards too.  So, here are some thank you cards she made for a couple of her friends.  Well, DD2 only colored the images and picked out the DP.  DD1 and I helped put the card together.

DD2 plays her first basketball game today.  This should be comical!

More Stuff By DD1

So, DD1 continues to create.  Got her to use some of SU! pastel chalks.  Darn it if she isn't better at it than I am!

 

 

DD2 helped put together these Valentine goody bags for her class.  Gotta bite my tongue when she colors!  LOL!  No worries about her taking over my crafting stuff.......yet.....

Feburary Birthdays!

DD2 celebrates her birthday this month!  yippee!!  "Momma, I don't feel older, but, I feel taller!" says DD2.  Big brother bought her 2 balloons:  Hello Kitty and Kung Fu Panda.  Guess which one she took to school with her....nope, not HK!  DD2 loves Kung Fu Panda, Spongebob and Mater...go figure...."Hello Kitty is okay," says she.

1luvnmama had a great musubi project, here and since DD2 loves musubi, DD1 made this card for her:

 And I made these as mini pizza box favors for the grandparents filled with Green Tea bags and Ochazuke nori).  I scanned a TSRD musubi image, enlarged it and voila!

 Musubi and red are DD2's favorites.  Thanks, Mama for the great idea!
